Local price and display price answer different questions
The local price answers: what does the provider list in that market? The display price answers: how does that local value compare after conversion into my chosen currency?
Both are necessary. Local price preserves the official market record, while display price makes cross-country ranking easier.
Exchange rates can create apparent price changes
If the Turkish lira, Japanese yen, euro, or another currency moves against your display currency, the converted subscription price can change even when the provider has not updated the local price.
This is why historical views should be read carefully. A converted-price movement can come from a provider price change, an exchange-rate change, or both.
Use converted rankings as a starting point
Converted rankings are excellent for finding outliers and patterns. They are less useful as final purchase quotes because payment method, tax, and provider terms can still change the final result.
When a country appears unusually cheap or expensive, open the country detail page and source link before drawing conclusions.
